These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") apply to every skip bin booking made through the Red Roo Skip Bins website, by phone, email, or any other channel (the "Booking"). By submitting a Booking — including via our online booking system — you ("Customer", "you") agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully before confirming your order.

Red Roo Skip Bins (ABN: 46 691 090 374), of Currans Hill, NSW ("Red Roo", "we", "us", "our") provides skip bin hire services across the Macarthur, Camden, Wollondilly, and South West Sydney regions.

1. Acceptance of Terms

1.1 By completing an online booking, making a payment, or accepting delivery of a skip bin, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms.

1.2 If you are booking on behalf of a company, body corporate, or another individual, you confirm you have authority to bind that party to these Terms.

1.3 We reserve the right to update these Terms from time to time. The version in effect at the time of your Booking applies to that Booking.

2. Bookings, Quotes & Confirmation

2.1 All bookings are subject to availability. A Booking is only confirmed once you receive written confirmation from Red Roo (email, SMS, or in-app confirmation).

2.2 Online quotes are based on the information you provide (bin size, waste type, delivery address, and access details). If the information provided is inaccurate or incomplete, the final price may be adjusted, and additional charges may apply (see Clause 6).

2.3 Same-day or next-day bookings are subject to truck and route availability and are not guaranteed unless confirmed by us directly.

2.4 We reserve the right to decline or cancel a booking at our discretion — for example, where the waste type is unsuitable for skip bin disposal, the site is inaccessible, or payment cannot be verified.

3. Pricing & Payment

3.1 All prices quoted are in AUD and include GST unless stated otherwise.

3.2 Payment is required in full at the time of booking via our online payment system, unless a separate commercial credit account has been approved by Red Roo in writing.

3.3 Prices are based on the bin size and waste type selected at booking. Additional charges may apply where:

(a) the bin is overloaded above the fill line, or contains a substantial amount of undeclared heavy material inconsistent with the waste type booked (see Clause 6);

(b) prohibited or contaminating materials are found in the bin (see Clause 5);

(c) the delivery address falls outside our standard service zone, requiring a travel surcharge;

(d) the hire period is extended beyond the included hire term (see Clause 7);

(e) a re-delivery or failed pickup attempt occurs due to site access issues or blocked bins (see Clause 8).

3.4 Any additional charges under Clause 3.3 will be charged to the payment method provided at booking. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before charging additional fees where practical, but reserve the right to charge them retrospectively where waste is discovered after collection (e.g. during tip processing).

4. Skip Bin Sizes & Suitability

4.1 It is the Customer's responsibility to select a bin size appropriate to the volume and type of waste being disposed of. Red Roo can provide general guidance but final selection is the Customer's choice.

4.2 Bins must not be filled above the marked fill line. Waste must not protrude above the bin walls, for safety and legal road-transport reasons.

4.3 If, on collection, our driver determines a bin is unsafe to transport (overfilled, unstable load, etc.), we may decline to collect it until the load is made safe, and additional trip charges may apply.

5. Prohibited & Restricted Waste

5.1 The following items must NOT be placed in any Red Roo skip bin under any circumstances:

Asbestos or asbestos-containing materials

Hazardous or toxic chemicals, paints, solvents, or oils

Gas bottles, batteries, or other items posing fire/explosion risk

Medical or clinical waste

Liquid waste of any kind

Putrescible waste not collected within an appropriate timeframe (food/organic waste, where applicable)

5.2 The following items are accepted, but incur an additional fee per item (as advised at the time of booking or on request), and should be declared at the time of booking wherever possible so the correct charge can be applied:

Mattresses

Car tyres

Truck tyres

5.3 Other restricted items that may incur additional charges or require prior arrangement include (but are not limited to): e-waste, plasterboard, concrete, bricks, and soil. These are subject to the pricing and surcharges outlined at the time of booking.

5.4 If prohibited waste is identified in a bin (at site, on the truck, or at the tip), Red Roo reserves the right to:

(a) refuse collection until the material is removed;

(b) charge a contamination or re-handling fee;

(c) charge the cost of specialist disposal where applicable;

(d) report the matter to the relevant authority where required by law (e.g. for asbestos).

5.5 The Customer is responsible for ensuring all waste placed in the bin complies with this clause, regardless of who physically places the waste (including tradespeople, contractors, or other household members).

6. Fixed Pricing & Waste Type Accuracy

6.1 Red Roo offers fixed-price skip bin hire. Bins are priced according to bin size and the waste type declared at booking — not by weight. There is no per-tonne charge for waste that matches the general waste type booked.

6.2 "General waste" pricing is based on the bin containing light, mixed waste typical of a household or commercial cleanout (e.g. furniture, packaging, general rubbish, green waste) rather than dense or heavy material.

6.3 If a bin booked as general waste is found, on inspection or at the disposal facility, to contain a substantial amount of heavy or dense material that was not declared at the time of booking (including but not limited to soil, concrete, bricks, tiles, rubble, or similar), and this results in Red Roo being charged by the disposal facility on a weight basis rather than the standard rate for that waste type, Red Roo reserves the right to pass on the resulting additional disposal cost to the Customer as a surcharge on the original invoice.

6.4 To avoid a surcharge under Clause 6.3, Customers should accurately declare the type and weight of waste at the time of booking, so the correct bin and pricing can be applied from the outset.

6.5 Bins must not be filled above the marked fill line, and waste must not protrude above the bin walls, for safety and legal road-transport reasons (see also Clause 4).

7. Hire Period & Extensions

7.1 The standard hire period is 7 days from the date of delivery, included in the quoted price, unless otherwise stated at booking.

7.2 If you require the bin for longer than the included hire period, please contact us before the hire period ends to arrange an extension. Extension fees apply per day/week as advised.

7.3 Bins not made available for collection at the end of the hire period (e.g. due to access issues) may incur additional standing/redelivery charges as per Clause 8.

8. Delivery, Site Access & Placement

8.1 The Customer is responsible for ensuring there is safe, clear, and legal access for our truck to deliver and collect the bin at the nominated address, including adequate space, ground stability, and overhead clearance.

8.2 The Customer is responsible for checking whether a council permit is required to place a skip bin on a public road, footpath, or verge. Any fines or penalties arising from placement without a required permit are the Customer's responsibility, not Red Roo's.

8.3 If our driver is unable to deliver or collect the bin due to inaccessible, unsafe, or blocked access (including parked vehicles, locked gates, or insufficient clearance), a failed delivery/collection fee may apply, and the booking may need to be rescheduled.

8.4 Bin placement on the Customer's property is at the Customer's own risk. Red Roo takes reasonable care to avoid damage to driveways, lawns, or surfaces, but is not liable for damage to surfaces not rated for the weight of a loaded skip bin truck, pre-existing damage, or damage arising from ground conditions outside our control (see Clause 11).

9. Cancellations & Rescheduling

9.1 Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the scheduled delivery time will receive a full refund.

9.2 Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled delivery time will incur a cancellation fee to cover route and scheduling costs already committed.

9.3 If Red Roo needs to reschedule a booking due to truck availability, weather, or unforeseen circumstances, we will contact you as soon as practicable to arrange a new time, with no penalty to the Customer.

10. Customer Obligations

By booking with Red Roo, you agree to:

(a) provide accurate information about the waste type, bin location, and site access;

(b) ensure only permitted waste (Clause 5) is placed in the bin;

(c) not overload the bin beyond the fill line, and accurately declare any heavy or dense material at the time of booking;

(d) ensure safe and legal access for delivery and collection;

(e) obtain any required council permits for public placement;

(f) supervise use of the bin by any third parties (tradespeople, family members, etc.) at the property.

11. Liability & Risk

11.1 To the maximum extent permitted by law, Red Roo's liability for any loss, damage, or injury arising from the supply of skip bin services is limited to the value of the Booking fee paid.

11.2 Red Roo is not liable for:

(a) damage to driveways, paving, lawns, or other surfaces not capable of bearing the weight of the truck or loaded bin;

(b) delays caused by traffic, weather, vehicle breakdown, or other circumstances reasonably outside our control;

(c) loss or damage to items placed in the bin by the Customer or third parties;

(d) any indirect or consequential loss.

11.3 Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy under the Australian Consumer Law (or other applicable law) that cannot lawfully be excluded.

11.4 Where Red Roo's services are not of a kind ordinarily acquired for personal, domestic, or household use, and the services are supplied for business purposes, Red Roo's liability is limited as set out in Clause 11.1, to the extent permitted by section 64A of the Australian Consumer Law.

12. Privacy

12.1 Personal information collected during the booking process (name, address, contact details, payment information) is used solely for the purpose of fulfilling your booking and communicating with you about your service, and is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy [link to be added] and the Australian Privacy Principles.

12.2 Payment details are processed securely via our third-party payment provider and are not stored by Red Roo directly.

13. Photographic Evidence

13.1 Red Roo may take photographs of the bin at delivery, at collection, and/or at the disposal facility for quality control, dispute resolution, and contamination verification purposes. These photos may be used as evidence where additional charges under Clause 5 or 6 are applied.

14. Governing Law

14.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes arising from a Booking will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
